| An exciting position has arisen in this HIV charity for an individual who has experience in fundraising. As the Relationship Development Officer, in addition to taking the lead on the Capital Appeal programme which the charity is starting at the end of 2009, you will be responsible for all the research and feasibility studies leading up to this campaign and going forward will be the contact for all events surrounding this project.
Working alongside a freelancer a key aspect of this role will be securing new Major Donors and creating a strong working relationship with them going forward. In addition to pulling together a case for support for the Capital Appeal which will take place over a three year period, you will also be involved in all fundraising activities during the next year as the current Fundraising Manager goes off on maternity leave. Prior experience of trust and statutory, corporate and individual fundraising would also therefore be ideal for this post. In particular they are looking at candidates who can grow their corporate and individual donation base. This is an excellent opportunity for a Fundraiser looking to further their career and gain valuable experience in a number of strands of the fundraising mix within a medium sized charity who are confident that there are new areas for them to explore. Working alongside a Freelancer and with the charity’s Director you will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be a good communicator.
